Know Your Patterns: Peanut

Another one of those patterns that is iconic with the Case brand is the Peanut. Measuring only 2 7/8 inches when closed, this knife is favored (in my personal experience) amongst women and older men. "It's not too big and won't weigh down your pocket" is the most common response I get when I ask, why a peanut? But where's the name come from?

The Peanut is described as a small serpentine shaped jack knife. It is also said to be shaped like a peanut shell, which is where the name derives from. Each Peanut comes standard with a clip and a pen blade.

This is pattern is very common and is made in most handles materials that are released each year.
